On Friday, 20th September 2024, Seeds for Change reached the students of Community 8 No. 2 Junior High School in a session that was both engaging and enlightening. The event aimed to educate the students about climate change, focusing on its causes, effects, and preventive measures, while encouraging critical thinking and personal responsibility.
The session began with thought-provoking presentations that introduced the concept of climate change in an accessible and relatable way. Drawing a parallel between the pressures of peer influence and the cumulative impact of human actions on the environment, the presentations highlighted how activities like deforestation, pollution, and overconsumption collectively harm the planet. This analogy resonated deeply with the students, making the complex topic more tangible.
